Job Duties: 1. Understanding Cisco unified communications domain, strategy and exploring avenues to promote the product 2. Architect, design and develop plug-ins and applications for various 3. Engage with product marketing and understand the product roadmap 4. Produce internal product technical literature and whitepapers 5. Work with various IP telephony & messaging systems and provide integration solutions 6. Work with product marketing and generate requirement specs and functional specs 7. Produce architectural documents, detailed design documents 8. Perform Architectural & design reviews of the components & modules 9. Review the development & test processes and recommend improvements 10. Document, propose and verify design guidelines to the team 11. Document, propose and verify coding guidelines to the team 12. Perform code reviews 13. Work on deployment strategies for the product 14. Work on product scalability, availability strategies & solutions 15. Will work on various security aspects of the product 16. Review deployment strategies for the product 17. Perform troubleshooting & debugging activities
Skill Set: - 10-12 years of industry experience with at least 3-4 years of architecture experience in application design & development. - Good working experience with open system protocols: o TCP/IP, TLS, HTTP, with good understanding of IP Telephony, VoIP, Media, presence protocols and excellent integration experience in: o SIP, H323, SCCP, RTP, MRTP, JTAPI, AXL o IP Systems (Call Servers, Messaging) o TCP/IP, HTTP o Presence protocols (Jabber, XMPP)
- Good systems integration experience in the following areas: o Education solutions o Healthcare solutions o Government Solutions
- Exposure to programming languages (C++, C#, Java) - Good experience with atleast one OS Windows, Unix, Linux - Design & architecture of Enterprise applications - Software architecture & design methodologies (class designs, sequence diagrams, UML) - Architecture experience of high-availability, redundant, distributed, scalable systems. - Good working experience with building prototypes
